David Bishop

Position: Residential Designer

Years with Chandler's: 4 years    

Background: I have been in the design field for over 18 years and have been able to combine two of my passions (design and home improvement) as a kitchen designer at Chandlers.  I enjoy the challenge of designing and implementing kitchen projects with our client's vision in mind. I have a BS in Industrial Design from the University of Cincinnati. I was born and raised in Dayton Ohio and have spent most of my time designing and managing products for Lexmark Intl. in Lexington Ky.  My wife Lisa Taylor Bishop and I live in Huntington with our two children John and Leila.  We enjoy camping, hiking and spending time with friends and family

 

Heather Combs

 Position: Residential Designer

Years with Chandler's: 15 years                  

Background: I was born in Huntington, WV and attended Chesapeake Schools. Later, I studied Criminal Justice at Ohio University. I am married to Greg and have one daughter, Caitlin. For the last fourteen years, I have worked in the kitchen industry. I spent five years selling countertops to dealers and homeowners in a family business. The next five years, I worked for Chandler's dealer division selling cabinetry, countertops, and all the cabinet manufacturing necessities.  I enjoy designing a kitchen that is tailored to fit the needs of my customer. Each customer is different, therefore I look at each kitchen as a new adventure. At Chandler's, no project is too big or too small and customer service is our priority.

 

Gary Frye

Position: Residential Designer

Years with Chandler's: 14 years

Background: I was born and raised in Wayne County , in the Westmoreland section of Huntington . I am very active in many community activities and functions ranging from youth sports to church. At age 19 I married the former Angela Thornburg; we have two children, Britt and Nikki. Britt is employed by Marshall University while working there on his Masters.  Nikki is a Marshall University graduate and will be teaching in the Wayne County School System.

I have spent my entire working career in the people business -- from managing Camden Park (a local amusement park) to my current position at Chandler's. I feel that business is really all about people. The relationships we build with our clients are vital. Chandler's fully understands, after 60 years in business, a happy customer is a returning customer.

 

Paul Spaulding

Position: Residential Designer

Years with Chandler's: 40+ years

Background: I was born in Cabell County, Huntington, WV to Effie and Paul Spaulding. I attended Huntington High School and Marshall University. I have more than forty years with Chandler's in kitchen design and sales team. I have gained superior knowledge in remodeling, plumbing and electric.

I am married to Martha (Marty) Williams Spaulding; we have two children, Steve Spaulding and Michelle Sinclair; and we now have four grandchildren.

I served for two and a half years in the United States Army, and spent two years in Korea .

I stay active as a Cub scout leader and little league coach and my hobbies include tennis, walking, Marshall University football, and visiting Civil War battlefields.
